CABBAGE PACHADI



Cabbage250g /2cups (roughly chopped)
Tomato (medium large in size)1 (diced)
Coriander leaves /Cilantro 1/2 bundle (washed and chopped)
Tamarindto taste
Green chillies6-8 (split)
Cumin seed1tsp
Oil1tbsp
Garlic cloves2 (peeled and chopped)
Saltto taste
Tempering Seasonings:Urad dal & Mustard’s- each 1/4tsp,
Garlic cloves -2(flatten)
Red chilly -2 (into pcs) ,
few curry leaves.
Oil for tempering.


  • Heat Tbsp of oil. When oil is hot add cumin seeds and green chillies.
  • Add cabbage and fry for couple of minutes.. Then add and mix  tamarind, tomatoes and coriander leaves. Cover and cook  till tomatoes are cooked.
  • Add garlic and salt and grind into fine paste in a blender (sprinkle water only if required)
  • Take into a bowl and give tempering.
  • Serve with hot rice.
