Cabbage | 250g /2cups (roughly chopped) |
Tomato (medium large in size) | 1 (diced) |
Coriander leaves /Cilantro | 1/2 bundle (washed and chopped) |
Tamarind | to taste |
Green chillies | 6-8 (split) |
Cumin seed | 1tsp |
Oil | 1tbsp |
Garlic cloves | 2 (peeled and chopped) |
Salt | to taste |
Tempering Seasonings: | Urad dal & Mustard’s- each 1/4tsp, Garlic cloves -2(flatten) Red chilly -2 (into pcs) , few curry leaves. Oil for tempering. |
- Heat Tbsp of oil. When oil is hot add cumin seeds and green chillies.
- Add cabbage and fry for couple of minutes.. Then add and mix tamarind, tomatoes and coriander leaves. Cover and cook till tomatoes are cooked.
- Add garlic and salt and grind into fine paste in a blender (sprinkle water only if required)
- Take into a bowl and give tempering.
- Serve with hot rice.
