Carrots | 250gms (grated) |
Milk | 500ml |
Water | 1/2cup |
Sugar | 6tbsp |
Cashew's | 2tbsp (break into pcs) |
Raisins (optional) | 2tbsp |
Ghee | 2tbsp |
Cardamom | 1/4tsp (powder) |
- Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashews and raisins. Pull out from ghee and keep aside.
- In same ghee, fry grated carrot for 3-5 minutes .
- In heavy bottomed vessel pour water and milk.Bring to boil.
- Add carrot and boil on medium flame until carrot is cooked or when milk is slightly thickens.
- Add sugar and cardamom power and boil it for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fried Cashews and Kismis.
- Serve cool or hot.
Seshu, this is sharonfern from naarisakhi. I am trying carrot kheer this weekend, getting ready for my diwali dinner. This looks like eay recipe. Will try and let you know tom.
