CARROT PAYASAM/ KHEER



Carrots250gms (grated)
Milk500ml
Water1/2cup
Sugar6tbsp
Cashew's2tbsp (break into pcs)
Raisins (optional)2tbsp
Ghee2tbsp
Cardamom 1/4tsp (powder)


  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashews and  raisins. Pull out from ghee and keep aside.
  • In same ghee, fry grated carrot for 3-5 minutes .
  • In heavy bottomed vessel pour water and milk.Bring to boil.
  • Add carrot and boil on medium flame until carrot is cooked or when milk is slightly thickens.
  • Add sugar and cardamom power and boil it for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fried Cashews and Kismis.
  • Serve cool or hot.
