CRISPY RICE FLAKES MIXTURE



Rice Flakes (Crispy)2 to 2.5cups
Onions3tbsp (finely chopped)
Tomatoes3tbsp (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves3tbsp (finely chopped)
Saltto taste
Red chilly powder1/4tsp
Lime juiceto taste
Ground nuts2tbsp (roasted)


  • I used crispy rice flakes or Heat oil and deep fry the poha, it takes hardly few seconds to get fried.
  • In a bowl mix (with hand) all the above ingredients. While mixing, press and mix the mixture.
  • Crispy rice mixtures is ready to serve.


            I stuffed this mixture in Aloo bhaji/ bhajiya. Served this snack along with CHAI this evening. The taste was good and DH liked it. For bhaji/ bhajiyai, I thinly sliced the Aloo, dipped in besan batter and deep fried in oil.

ALOO BHAJI/ BHAJIYA


Potatoes medium sized2 (peeled and sliced thinly)
Besancup
Rice flour2tbsp
Red chilly powder1/4tsp
Salt to taste
Ajwani2 large pinches
Baking soda1/4tsp
Oildeep frying


  • Soak the sliced  potatoes in salt water.
  • In a bowl mix besan and other ingredients. Mix it like thick batter (when slice is dipped, it should get coated both the sides)

  • Heat oil for deep frying. Dip the slices in batter and deep fry them in oil till golden in color. Take out from oil and allow them to cool for few minutes.
  • Now cut the bhaji/ bhajiya vertically like pockets and stuff the prepared mixture and serve.
NOTE: If you like u can make bhaji/bhajiya with onions, mirchi, tomato, brinjal, boiled egg, plantain and capsicum.
